February Product Updates

February was a big month. We shipped across every major surface of the product — AI workflows, close management, contracts, reporting, APIs, and more. Here’s everything that went live.
Aura Flow
The headline launch of the month. Aura Flow is an AI workflow engine that takes a complex financial task, breaks it into individual steps, builds a plan, and executes it end-to-end. While letting you monitor progress and inspect results at every step.
No more stitching together tasks manually. You describe what needs to get done. Aura Flow handles the rest.
AI Flux Analysis: Budget vs. Actuals
Flux analysis now supports Budget vs. Actuals comparisons, in addition to the existing prior-period comparisons. Compare your month against plan, spot where actuals deviated from expectations, and get AI-generated explanations with source documentation — all without leaving the close workflow.
Contract Management
Three improvements to contracts shipped this month:
Go-Live Date for Fixed-Price Contracts
You can now set a go-live date to control when revenue recognition starts, independent of the invoicing schedule. When a go-live date is set, choose whether to prorate revenue from that date through the original contract end date, or shift the entire recognition period forward. Available for fixed-recurring products.
Copy a Contract
Renewing a contract or creating a similar one? You can now copy an existing contract directly from the contract actions menu. Enter the new start date and Rillet carries over all products, terms, and structure, updating dates automatically and flagging the copy for easy identification.
Contract Viewer in AI Contract Reader
When reviewing contracts uploaded through the AI Contract Reader, you can now view the original document side by side with the contract builder. No more toggling between tabs while working through extracted details.
Close Management
Filter Close Checklist by Owner and Status
The Close Management Checklist now supports filtering by Task Owner or by Status (Prepared vs. Not Prepared). See exactly who still has open items and what’s left before close, without scrolling through the full list.
Audit Logs for All System Objects
Audit logs now cover every major system object: vendors, bills, charges, charge reversals, reimbursements, customers, products, and credit memos. Each change surfaces a side-by-side comparison of what changed, paired with an Aura AI summary explaining what happened and why.
Intercompany JE CSV Upload
You can now upload intercompany journal entries via CSV using a structured template that mirrors the in-app workflow. Covers recurring allocations and high-volume intercompany adjustments. Clear error messages flag issues on upload so you can resolve and move forward quickly.
Reporting
CARR on Home Dashboard
CARR is now available as a tile metric alongside MRR and ARR on your home dashboard. Head to Reporting in Org Settings to add it. Dashboard tiles remain fully clickable, rearrangeable, and customizable.
Prepaid Asset Report by Expense Account
The prepaid asset report now breaks down by expense account and vendor, making reconciliation between prepaid expenses and prepaid assets faster and cleaner.
Customer Statements on Demand
Download customer statements directly from the customer page. Each statement includes open invoices and unapplied credit memos at a specific point in time. Separate statements are automatically generated for each subsidiary.
Active vs. Inactive Customer Status
Customers are now marked Active only when today’s date falls within a live contract term or a standalone revenue invoice. If no active contract or invoice covers today, the customer shows as Inactive. A cleaner, more accurate customer list — especially useful at close.
API Updates
Trial Balance API Endpoint
A new GET /reports/trial-balance endpoint returns beginning balances, debits, credits, and ending balances for every account across any date range — with optional subsidiary-level filtering for multi-entity reporting.
Invoice PDFs via API
Invoice PDFs are now retrievable directly through the API. For invoices originating from third-party systems like Stripe, the API automatically redirects to the source PDF.
Read-Only API Keys
You can now generate read-only API keys directly from the API settings page — just check the read-only box during creation. Right for stakeholders and integrations that need access without write permissions.
Invoice Payment Link Configuration
Users can now control which payment options appear on Rillet invoices: one-time payment, autopay, or both.
A Sharper Look for Numbers
We updated the number of fonts throughout the platform, replacing the old monospace style with Inter, which won by a landslide in customer feedback survey. Cleaner, easier to scan, and faster to compare at a glance.
That’s February. More coming in March!
