Finance teams are some of the most creative problem-solvers in any company. They build elaborate models in Excel, duct-tape systems together across five tools, and somehow still close the books on time. Now we want to see what happens when you hand them a real AI coding tool.

We're launching the Vibe Code CFO Challenge: This  contest is open to finance, accounting, and ops professionals who want to build something useful with Claude Code.

How to enter

  • Build anything that touches a finance or accounting workflow using Claude Code
  • Post a demo, screenshot, or video on LinkedIn showing what you made
  • Tag @Rillet and @Stephen Hedlund in your post

That's it.

What counts as a submission

Anything built with vibe coding that solves a real finance or accounting problem. A reconciliation script. A board summary generator. An automated close checklist. A cash flow dashboard. An AR aging report that actually makes sense. If it saves your team time, it counts.

What we're judging

  • Creativity -- Did you use AI in a way no one expected?
  • Finance application -- Does it solve a real accounting or finance problem?
  • Usefulness -- Is it something your team would use every week?
  • Time saved -- Can you show or estimate the hours it frees up?

The fine print

  • Contest runs April 6-25
  • Submit as many times as you like -- only your best entry will be judged
  • All submissions must be original work created during the contest window
  • Rillet employees are not eligible

The prize

The winner gets announced live on stage at Rillet Recon, April 28th in New York City. Plus a spot on stage and eternal bragging rights.
